FEATURES OF INGERSOLL-RAND AIR COMPRESSOR
Continuous Duty -This design criterion, ensures our compressors provide pulsation free air 24 hours a day, operating on a 100% duty cycle.
Low Sound level test conditions -This design criteria meets the stringent OSHA requirements and offers flexibility with respect to location of the compressor.
Simplicity -This design criterion ensures simple hook-ups, offering savings in time and money at the time of installation.
Advanced air end design
Bearings- Our Air Ends use back to back Tapered Roller Bearings on the discharge end and Cylindrical Roller Bearings on the inlet end. These bearings provide line contact, distributing load equally over a larger surface area. This design criteria, has a significant impact on the life of the Air End.
Coolant Dam -Exclusive bearing coolant dam traps coolant upon compressor shutdown, assuring:
No dry starts even momentarily
Coolant circulation within 12 RPM
Prolonged life out of the bearings
An ambient of 115 Deg F (46 Deg C).
This design criteria, apart from ensuring temperatures at the discharge of the compressor is at an optimum Level, also
Eliminates unscheduled shutdowns particularly during hot summers
Reduces cooler fouling.
Enhances the life of separator elements
Enhances life of components in the air end.
Multistage air separation: The multistage separation system is a truly unique and innovative design.
The position of the baffle opening located in the separation sump tank performs the first stage of separation by creating a vortex flow thereby the heavier particles of oil drop down due to a change in direction.
The baffle located in the separation sump tank performs next stage of mechanical separation by impingement action.
A separator element located above another baffle which, creates a dry sump, further reduces oil carry over, when air -oil mix passes through this element.
This effective mode of air oil separation ensures oil carry over down stream is limited to 1 to 3 ppm in our compressors.
Integral high efficiency coolers
The After cooler cools the compressed air to within 10 Deg C of the ambient temperature. The integral design of the oil and air cooler ensures efficient heat transfer.
Leak free hydraulic type fittings.
The free air delivery indicated by us is ratings of the full package and is in accordance with CAGI-Pneurop acceptance test standard ISO 1217.
ELECTRICALS FOR THE COMPRESSOR
Squirrel Cage Induction Motor specially manufactured for Ingersoll-Rand are designed to operate continuously at the compressors applied power, and is rated for 46 Deg C ambient with matching insulation.
VFD Starter cum Motor Over Load Relay.
Advantages available to you using our patented synthetic based coolant are:
It has high level of compatibility with compressor parts, downstream instruments, processes, hoses, diaphragms and most plastics commonly used in pneumatic instruments.
Lubricant change will be at a much longer interval thereby decreasing maintenance down time.
